About Betty Kay & Jim Cullen
The Cullen's truly believed in “service above self”. Partners for almost 49 years, Betty Kay and Jim Cullen knew the importance of providing a safe, positive, and fun place for Schenectady's youth.
Using his talents as an architect, Jim designed several of our Club facilities and Camp Lovejoy additions. Jim joined the Board of Directors in 1994, was an active participant as Chair of the Property Committee, and volunteered tirelessly for the Campership Campaign.
Betty Kay served as both president of the Board of Directors and Auxiliary president and volunteered for decades to help make great futures possible for children in Schenectady.
This tournament was named in memory of Jim Cullen 14 years ago and in 2016, his beloved wife Betty Kay was fittingly added to honor this amazing couple— two wonderful friends of the Boys & Girls Club who did so much and who meant so much to the kids who need us most.
