Congratulations to Alexander George Gonyea the 2019 Recipient of the Mary Ann Hogan Scholarship Fund
Please join the Boys & Girls Clubs of Schenectady in congratulating Alexander George Gonyea who was awarded the 2019 Mary Ann Hogan Scholarship Fund announced at the May 15 Board of Directors Annual Meeting. Alexander, a senior at Schenectady High School, maintains a 3.45 average and ranks 28th in a class of 674. He has received a full scholarship to Syracuse University of which he will major in Journalism in the fall.
The purpose of the Mary Ann Hogan Memorial Scholarship, established in 2013, is to reward a high school senior who exemplifies the same qualities and courageous attitude that Mary portrayed throughout her 62 years on earth. Mary’s family hopes that through this scholarship fund, her legacy will continue to influence the lives of many young people in the Capital Region.
