Professionals announced for the 2nd Annual Charity Skins Game Tournament!
For the second year in a row, Homestead Funding is proud to be a Hall of Fame Sponsor for the Charity Skins Game Tournament to benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of Schenectady on June 20, 2023, at the Mohawk Golf Club.
Blaine McCallister will once again be hosting the tournament. A PGA pro golfer since 1981, McCallister has played on the PGA Tour and Champions Tour with five professional wins. He has been a frequent player and crowd favorite in the Capital District for over 25 years. Joining McCallister will be four amazing PGA professionals:
Rocco Mediate, who has won six times on the PGA Tour and three times on the PGA Tour Champions. In the 2008 U.S. Open at Torrey Pines South Course, he finished runner-up after losing the first sudden-death hole after an 18-hole playoff to Tiger Woods.
Tim Herron, who has four PGA Tour victories, including a playoff win at Bay Hill. His nickname is Lumpy, which he got when he was in High School from a local pro.
Billy Andrade, a four-time winner on the PGA Tour and three-time winner on the Sr Tour, was the first player in 2000 to win using the PROV1 golf ball. In 2022 Billy won the Payne Stewart Award given annually to a golfer who exemplifies Stewart's values of character, charitable efforts, and sportsmanship.
And retuning from our 2022 Skins Tournament, Chris DiMarco, who won three times on the PGA tour, was 2nd in the Masters in 2005 where he lost to Tiger Woods in the playoff and 2nd in the PGA Championship and The US Open Championship in 2004, again to Tiger Woods. Chris also played in the Ryder Cup in 2004 and 2006 and sank a 15ft putt in 2005 to clinch the Presidents Cup over Stuart Appleby.
Founded in 1936 by a volunteer group of community leaders, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Schenectady has always aimed to inspire and enable all young people to reach their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible citizens. The organization promotes the social, educational, health, leadership, and character development of local youth during critical periods of their growth. Over the last two years, the organization is proud to have not closed its doors for a single moment during the pandemic while serving over 100,000 free nutritious meals, addressing basic needs, and providing a safe place for young people to learn, grow and have fun with their peers.
