The 2021 Mary Ann Hogan Memorial Scholarship Recipient Announced

We are pleased to share the 2021 Mary Ann Hogan Memorial Scholarship has been awarded to Aaliyah Howard, announced at the Board of Directors Annual Meeting of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Schenectady on May 19. Aaliyah, a Boys & Girls Clubs member since she was six years old, was chosen because of her courage and willingness to help.

Aaliyah enjoys volunteering at the Clubs, mostly helping kids with their homework, but also provides help wherever its needed. She has volunteered at City Mission and has participated in community cleanups, as well as clothing and food drives.

Aaliyah will attend Schenectady County Community College in the Fall and plans to study nursing and business. She attributes the Boys & Girls Clubs of Schenectady to teaching her that she can make a difference. Her long-term goal is to leave a legacy of love and hope.
